The bodies are made from reinforced plastic, but they look like gum rubber. The levers are aluminum and the cables run under the bar, so there is no need to drill.
The 23.8mm clamp size fits bars with internal bar end diameters of 19.6 to 20.6mm. They do not fit aluminum bars meant for MTB levers.
The 22.2 clamp size is made for mountain bike-sized bars (22.2mm outside diameter) bars with an internal diameter of at least 16.5mm.
These levers work with caliper or cantilever brakes, but not V-brakes.
