This fall / winter our service team has planned a series of one day workshops at our new location at The Well. For the first two courses we’ll be covering the basics of bike maintenance and care, and a deep dive into fixing tires and tubes. Combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on repair time under the guidance of an experienced mechanic in a fully-equipped bike service shop, and receive a 10% discount that can be put towards the purchase or special order of repair tools and maintenance products. (cleaner, chain lube, tire levers, patch kits, air pumps, multi-tools, etc.).

Enroll in the Bike Basics workshop to better understand your bicycle, learn to perform minor adjustments and cleaning, and learn how to identify small issues early, so you can spend more time on your bike and less time blindsided by major repairs. Details below:

Basic Maintenance Workshop: $80, including a beverage of your choice
[Wednesdays: Nov 20, Dec 11, Jan 15, Feb 5 and 26. 6:30pm-9:30pm]

This is an introductory class covering the basics of your bike's function, fixes and adjustments you can do on the go, and how to spot telltale signs of developing problems. If you've just bought a bike, had your bike for a while but want to know more about it, or if you want to learn how to take better care of your bike at home, this is for you. The following topics will be covered:
-How to perform an inspection of your bike
-How to remove and install wheels
-How to clean and lube your chain
-How to make minor shifting adjustments
-How to make minor brake adjustments
-How to tell when parts are worn, damaged, or need replacement

Also, be sure to check out our  Tire and Tubes workshop for a deep dive into tires, tubes, and how to deal with those pesky flats. Find out about all the threats to well-inflated tires, how to fend them off, what tire pressure you should actually be running, and pick up a few tricks that will let you mount just about any tire without ruining your thumbs.

Don’t see a topic you want to learn about? Reach out to our shop at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to discuss creating and delivering a custom group workshop. See you in class!
