The evolution of our adventure touring bike now makes it more versatile, now coming with 700 x 44 tires and room for more rubber should you wish. Elan Vital geometry makes the bike more stable, with fantastic standover clearance, and room for full size panniers out back. Frame and fork will both have triple water bottle mounts for King or Anything cages. The new Shimano GRX Adventure Crankset w 46/30T rings & 11-34T Cassette for an even greater range than last year. New for 2021 are Shimano Hydraulic GRX Brakes for even more stopping power.

Both the Elan Vital and Elan represent the modernization of the classic touring bike. They both share the same Geometry and compact CrMo Steel frame and able to accommodate a myriad of tires sizes to dial in the needs of your next adventure adaptable for either 650b (27.5”) or 700c wheel sizes. The compact frame inspires confidence with a lower center of gravity and excellent standover clearance.

With the brand new Shimano GRX Adventure Crankset w 46/30 Tooth rings Paired with an 11-34 Tooth Cassette gives you better than a 1:1 gear ratio for those long sustained climbs even while fully loaded. The Shimano GRX 11 speed shift levers have updated ergonomic comfort benefits for long gravel or road rides. The GRX 810 front and rear derailleurs, give you sublime light action yet precise shifting with excellent gear spacing let you keep your cadence exactly where you want it.

The Elan Vital comes with an internally routed Carbon Fork with a Thru Axle for stiffness and moulded triple mounts on each side to expand your cargo ability. New for 2021 the Elan Vital is upgraded to GRX Hydraulic Brakes for maximum stopping ability in any condition.

The Details

The 2021 Elan Vital is fitted with the new WTB Raddler 700 x 44 tubeless ready tires with logo matching WTB rims. They have just the right amount of aggression for great traction in a wide variety of terrain yet still plenty fast for long road rides.
